Rental Cars work on a 24 hour clock from booking time. If you go over, you pay a premium. It's a business practice as many renters "think" they're booking "for the whole day when it's actually from the pick up time to the drop off time. Don't blame them, it's a nightmare during high usage time when cars are not returned or "dropped off" at another location just because people think it won't matter when it does.

Watch out with doing the Airbnb work around this is also a current scam

This is very helpful since it's harder and harder to find travel deals. I sure miss the name yout own price feature at priceline. I used to get epic deals on 4 star hotels for under $100 a night.

Always ensure the third-party booking site is legit, and remember any refunds or issues MUST go through wherever you booked it. Save hassle and go directly to the hotel website or God forbid call them first. Saving 20 on a room is not worth having to call late at night to settle the fact you are trying to put 5 people in a single king bed room because you did not read what you booked.

I'm thinking of using Costco Travel for a trip to Italy later this year. The price doesn't seem to bad, so I better get on booking it. I only met one person that used Costco Travel. Seriously, I go to Mom and Pop motels and "Offer" them less than they ask. I say OK you can have an empty room and no money or a discount room with money... Works every time.

I got to see the Cirque de Soleil Beatles show for free from playing the MGM game. Also Vegas rewards return trips. MGM owns many hotels and you can get days free. Use your rewards account. They love it if you gamble a lot too. You can even go to a local MGM casino for points and get the MGM credit card for points.
